Week14

This class wasn't yet devoted to the BAAM web page: during the first 1,5 hours we were dealing with marketing and were given a lecture by an IBS student(?) about the oppurtunity of Google advertising. It was useful and really good to know about but unfortunately, I just couldn't pay attention:/

The rest of the time wasn't spent in the world of computers but we were talking with Phil and Delia about the things which we appreciate and which should be changed or improved in connection with the classes. I agree with the bulk of the points as I'm really SAD to say that the funding class was definetely disappointing. the lectures were usually interesting (but not useful) but on the seminars I was just bored to death. and i don't feel personal development. although the sculpture lessons were enjoyable for me for most of the time cause I love creating objects, it is true that Paula behaved so differently from the way she did in the the drawing classes.
This semester passed very fast for me and though there are problems (which are always there everywhere) art history was very good again, I learnt how to create a web page and I feel a bit (just a little bit) but more confortable with computers and this is because of the web design class. what I feel was very useful to have is the finance class, I hate mathematics but i saw the point during the classes and the things we covered really are neccessary to know. personally it wasn't a good semester for me as i have many problems and it had its effect on my mood and everything, unfortunately.

now, I would like to get over the exams quickly and then it is time to have the summer holiday;>

Week13

We went on testing the site, on which the others have been working so much! I feel my group is working well, we noticed some small mistakes, which were corrected immediately (e.g. in the texts or problem with the lacing of the buttons coloumn). we didn't divide the work within the group but all of us tried to check everything.

For quite a long time during this leeson I was typing the names of the buttons on the site for the people with bad or no eye sight at all. it wasn't the most interesting job to do but it was okey (I did it with pleasure as I've always been sensitive towards the issues of handicapped people) -and somebody always joined me to chat about something:)

I see that the page really is almost ready, only the photo group has to add some pictures and only a couple of things are to be done as I heard it.

Week10

Working on the web site speeded up so much today! Many people were working hard: as a result the page is getting ready and it is going to be really cool. Our group starts doing the work today, I have an old lap top and I'm going home this weekend so I can test the site on many different computers in the family and I think I will ask some of my friends too to do so. During the lesson I joined the photo group who were working on sizing and elaborating the details (like the frame etc.) of the chosen pictures. I'm sure we will have had an exciting and fantastic site by next week;>

Week9

Today, we were given many interesting pieces of information by a nice lady, who is curator, working for a huge company. She was speaking about her job, the collection of the company, the future plan of organising an exchange exhibition from the works of the continents and showed a couple of beautiful catalogues. It was a useful hour what I really enjoyed.
After the break we went on dealing with the BAAM web site, this time I did not have many things to do as my task, testing is going to be due one or two weeks later, but we were discussing a bit about the photos.
And I was very happy with the grade I got for my web page! It is better than I have expected and it really makes me glad.

The first assignment

Today was the deadline for handing our web sites in . When I had finished it yesterday I was happy with it, but when I had a look at some of the others' sites at the beginning of the class, I was amazed how beautiful they were so I became a bit disappointed that I was able to do only a simple one again. I like the pictures I inserted, I am in léove with the first one(depicting the deck) on the homepage. So I am happy and disappointed at the same time, but anyway, I feel that I've developed and I'll try to do my best with the BAAM site because it is really of great importance.

Week6

This time we were working on our web sites due next week. In the beginning of the lesson we had a look at many pages differing from each other very much. This was useful again, I think, as we get ideas what elements work properly and look nicely as well as what to try to avoid. I still have a lot to improve on my web page but I hope it will look okey next week.

Week5

Today we were to make the ugliest webpage on Earth to compete with Évi's page. I thought Phil was just joking when he said the task.. so created something similar to the one Phil showed us before we started working. We weren"t given an exact topic, I was thinking for a while what to do. Finally, I made a simple one again, it is about the ocean and the beautiful living creatures underwater who, I think, are not treated as they should be, people don't take care of them. It was a nice lesson again.

WEEK4

To be honest, I'm proud of myself now, because I never thought I would be able to do something like this. Besides Microsoft Word I haven't used any other computer programs & because of this I was so afraid of this class. I'm pleased with the pages I did-although they're really simple. I enjoyed the lesson and I could follow the steps- I really appreciate that we do everything slowly.
